Arushi is a distinguished professional with a proven track record in software development. She is passionate about diversifying the technology industry and fostering an inclusive environment. Alongside, her efforts in community development and promoting eco-friendly initiatives have earned her prestigious accolades, including the International Diana Award, the TechWomen100 award, and a nomination as an Asian Woman of Achievement Young Achiever. In 2021, Arushi graduated with First Class Honours in MEng Electronic and Electrical Engineering from the University of Birmingham. Her academic journey included a 'Year in Industry', where she gained valuable experience across various engineering roles. She interned at Siemens Healthineers as an Electrical Engineer, at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars as a Body-in-White Engineer, and at Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace as a Stress and Design Engineer. Following her graduation, she joined Barclays and currently works as ‘Assistant Vice President – Software Engineer’. Arushi is deeply invested in mentoring, engaging in both mentoring graduates/apprentices and reverse mentoring directors to foster perspective sharing. She is an active advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), frequently participating in panels to educate and inspire early career colleagues. Her commitment to these values is further exemplified in her role as a lead and core committee member in various Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). Her commitment extends beyond her professional life; Arushi dedicates her skills to assisting social enterprises and charities in developing websites and mobile applications. She is also actively involved in environmental campaigns and community relief efforts, including innovative recycling projects and organising drives for disaster-stricken areas.
