Julie is the Director of Security Control Frameworks with responsibility for Barclay’s Group Cyber Security Standards and external security certifications, enabling the banks to achieve an industry recognised level of maturity in their security posture. Julie has over 13 years of experience in information security, across a number of sectors. Leading in the transformation of security services to customers and delivering cyber risk reduction across technology. As an Information Security Leader Julie is skilled in Cyber Risk Management and Security Assurance, she is also a strong advocate of authentic leadership. Julie is passionate about Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and has previously held a DEI lead role within her organisation. She has a focus on intersectionality , with the benefits that this brings to an organisation, as well as the adversity that can be faced as a result. She also actively supports youth and talent progression through mentoring and outreach programmes. Julie is qualified through a number of globally recognised security industry certifications. CISM, ISO27001 Lead Auditor and COMPTIA Security+
